Inspiration

Design Sponge's re-purposed window into a cold frame

This 4 berry salad recipe from Martha Stewart. I can't wait to have berries growing.

Short on gardening space? Grow your plants in your table and chairs with FurniBloom

This book... I want to read it. Have you read it yet?

That table and chairs set is crazy cool!

Don't know that I would want to eat something growing below big old butts. However strawberries grown in manure are excellent. Go figure.

I prefer to keep my front yard ornamental. Out back I can maintain more control over my edible garden. Less critters and no one helping themselves to my bounty or worse - vandals.

I haven't read it yet, but it's on my list. This year, I've already planted rainbow Swiss chard in the round flower bed out front. It should be coming up soon. I'm planning on getting two dwarf apple trees for the front yard as well. Why not use the space?

Maybelline, thanks for the laugh, I didn't think about eating something below "big old butts".

Veggie Pak, good for you, you are way ahead of me.

You should check out The Prudent Homemaker, she has a whole yard full of edible landscaping. I think it's amazing.

The author of Edible Landscaping was at 2010 Garden Writers Symposium in Dallas TX. Very interesting lady as she had no background in gardening. I am going to order the book today and look at the Prudent Homemaker, too! My philosophy is "Purposeful Gardening"...
thanks!
