
After tilling the garden spot, our freshly turned soil was discovered by our happy hens, boy did they go wild!

Not only did they peck out pests in my garden, they fertilized while they did.
Even the pullets (female chickens under a year old) got to join in on the fun.

As this is their first time out of the confines and safety of the garage, they were equally as excited as the hens.

Even with danger lurking overhead.
Unfortunately, now that I have planted seeds and little seedlings, it is back to the coop for these ladies until my plants are a little more substantial.
