Michael and I have started preparing our garden plot, in doing so, we turned some of the soil and added some compost. To our surprise we had a small crop of carrots that didn't get harvested last year.
They may be small and stubby, but they are still delicious!
I have the same! This is the 2nd year that we've "wintered over" carrots. They are pefectly fresh, sweet and delicious. What a fun garden surprise to discover during spring work! Great blog too - I also raise chickens in the backyard and it's great to read other's experiences.
