Dale, I really appreciate this series you're doing. I'm wanting to raise meat chickens myself, but am considering a heritage breed rather than a Cornish cross. My concern is the cost factor. So much more meat for the same amount of feed is a temptation, but not necessarily the best choice. I wish I had the room to raise meat birds, but my henhouse is just big enough for the 10 layers and 1 rooster. Dang!
