I really need to use our new dutch oven. We haven't even gotten it out of the box yet and we've had it for almost a year now (it was a wedding gift). I'd probably use the gift certificate on something pet related. =)

I've got cast iron on my wish list. Bread pans, griddle & press, 15" skillet. I love my cast more every time I use it, but the 10" isn't cutting it for our family size.

I could DEFINITELY use a dutch oven!!! I've never owned one (don't think I've ever used one either) but I have some recipes that call for one...a SCRUMPTIOUS bread recipe that I can't wait to try!!!

My sister in-law has an awesome dutch oven. I have been desperately looking at getting one but the prices are ridculous forhigh quality cast iron one. However a chance at winning $60 makes it seem not so ridiculous an investment. I can imagine smelling gumbo cooking right now.

OH, and my husband hates out free ranging chickens as well! LOL!! Loves the eggs but not the "gifts" that are left all over the yard.
We free range our chickens - and we had to fence in every living thing we hope to keep. For some reason they don't fly over the fence into those areas - not sure why. But I do know our yard looks like Ft. Leavenworth!

I love your blog. I've been lurking here for a while, now, and think that you are spot on. My wife feels about my gardening/urban farming idiosyncrasies about the same as your do about your husbands. It's refreshing to find I'm not the only one. Keep up the great job and have lots of fun doing it.
