Did you watch the Super Bowl? If not congratulations on making a better use of your time. We watched it online (since we don't have TV) and one of our favorite parts was the commercials. Usually we like funny, clever commercials but the best one yesterday was for Dodge trucks and it was about farmers. I don't think that commercials usually entice me to buy something but their commercial is so good it made me want to be a farmer......and buy a Dodge truck. I'm not even a Dodge guy.
It was a great game aside from the fact the Niners lost. I did not watch the half time stuff; so I'm unable to comment on that. The power outage provided some time to accomplish a few tasks. I did try to watch most all the commercials - even the disgusting Go Daddy gross out. Dodge did provide an awesome ad. I liked it. I loved the Budweiser Clydesdale baby ad best.
I am proud to drive an old Dodge Truck, and thought their commerical was in very good test. No loud music, no speed, no burn outs on pavement, just nice quiet tribute to farmers.
I see today that Married to the Military comment on a dislike for the Jeep commerical, I didn't see it, wonder if the same ad agency did both?????
I watched a recap of the commercials and this was my favorite as well. I still dream about acreage on a daily basis and one day in my life it will happen. I did love the Budweiser Clydesdale add as well. I don't drink so it's advertising money they won't get back from me, but I love the ads!
I really loved this commercial...however, a few friends of mine were upset that it did not represent the contemporary farming society of today with other ethnicities being unfairly treated. Saying it was a "white washed" version. I liked the white washed version and it made me smile.

ReplyDeleteI just happened to walk in when this commercial came on. Everybody got quiet to watch. It was very well done.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, but the farmers God made drive Chevys.
