The day after we moved in our place we got three 4-H dairy cows standing in our barn doorway. They were super tame, since they were show cows. I have horses so I just put a rope around their necks and led them into our pasture till we could find their homes. Once we finally met their owners we learned that most cows are not so lovey. So be careful! You're yard friend might not be a friend.
We also have a pot belly pig that someone dumped out here that all of the neighborhood feeds. It will not let anyone near it, but it comes visiting every now and then.

I don't think they still hang people for cattle rustling but... chances are good they'll want the cow back. Boo hoo. I'd be tempted too.
